Fee Remission Categories
All students are expected to pay fees except:
- Those aged 16-18 years on September 1st 2008.
- Those on Job Seekers Allowance
- Those in receipt of Guarantee Credit (Pensions Credit).
- Those in receipt of income-based benefits.
- Working Tax Credit (with a household income of less than £15,050).
- Learners who are the unwaged dependants of those listed above.
- Asylum seekers in receipt of equivalent income-based benefits .
- Learners aged 19+ studying for their first full Level 2 qualification. Learners will be asked to sign a self declaration to confirm this.
- 19-25 year old learners studying for their first full Level 3 qualification. Learners will be asked to sign a self declaration to confirm this.
- Adult Learning Grant will apply to learners who are studying for their first full Level 2 / Level 3 qualification and are aged 19 or over and studying full time at the College.
- Learners over 25 who do not already have a full Level 2 qualification and who commit to a full Level 3 course can quality for free tuition under the Level 2 entitlement.
